About this coloring page
Standing in a shallow puddle, this happy dinosaur looks ready to splash anyone nearby. The pond, grass tufts and back bumps add up to a friendly medium page.
On hot days many animals look for water: elephants spray it, hippos wallow in it and birds splash in it. How does your child like to cool off when it is warm outside? A crayon covers the big pond easily, while the grass tufts and the bumps along the dinosaur's back are small spots for a pencil.
Fun factMany dinosaur footprints were preserved in soft mud near ancient lakes and rivers.
- Color ideaColor the pond light blue and add darker blue ripples with short curved lines.
- After coloringTalk about your favorite way to splash, in the bath or in a puddle.
