About this coloring page

Twirling a lacy parasol over her shoulder, this princess takes a stroll in the sunshine. The scalloped parasol edge and gown folds give it plenty of detail.

The scalloped edge of the parasol is made of little bumps, so coloring it is good practice for curves. Younger children can color the parasol top in one shade and leave the edge white, while older children try alternating two colors around the scallops. Finish by drawing a sunny sky, a few flowers or a path for the princess's stroll.

Fun fact

A small umbrella used for shade from the sun is called a parasol.

  • Color ideaColor the parasol pale yellow with a white lace edge and the gown sky blue.
  • After coloringTalk about how a parasol and a rain umbrella are used differently.
