About this coloring page
Kneeling in the grass, a princess stops to smell a flower she has picked. The grass, flower and gown folds add up to a detailed garden scene.
Smelling is one of our five senses, along with seeing, hearing, tasting and touching. Name them together, then talk about which sense the princess is using right now and which ones your child is using while coloring. The grass tufts around her are good for quick green strokes, and the small flower near her face needs a careful pencil.
Fun factMany flowers have sweet smells that attract bees and butterflies.
- Color ideaColor the flower red, the grass green and the gown a soft peach.
- After coloringSmell a real flower or herb and describe what it smells like.
