About this coloring page
Hanging from a loop, a star-shaped lantern smiles while three tassels swing below it. The tassels add a little detail to a medium page that glows with color.
Picture this lantern hanging in a window on a festival night. Who notices its glow from the street, and where are they walking to? Your child can invent a short tale about a family following star lanterns all the way home. The tassels hang below, so a few curved lines drawn beside them can show they are swaying in the breeze.
Fun factStar-shaped lanterns are hung for festivals in many places, such as the parol at Christmas in the Philippines.
- Color ideaColor the star bright yellow and the tassels red, green and blue.
- After coloringCount the points on the star and the tassels below it.
