About this coloring page
A budgie on a perch peers into a small mirror and sees its own face looking back. Feather details on both birds mean plenty of small areas for older kids.
Is that a second budgie? No, it is a reflection, the copy a mirror makes of whatever stands in front of it. Hold a toy up to a mirror with your child and compare the real one with its reflection. The mirror's round frame and thin stand are good for a fine pencil, and the feathers on the real bird make tidy rows to fill.
Fun factBudgies are social birds that live in big flocks in the wild.
- Color ideaColor the budgie sky blue with a white face, and make the reflection match it exactly.
- After coloringLook in a mirror and make the same face as the budgie.
