Jungle and Wild Animal Coloring Pages
Gullu's Jungle land is home to 24 coloring pages of friendly wild animals drawn in bold, clean lines for kids from toddlers to the early grades. You will find a proud lion with a fluffy mane, a coiled snake, a toucan with a giant beak, a sloth hanging from a branch, a chameleon with a spiral tail and a panda munching bamboo. There are action scenes too, like a splashing elephant, a swinging monkey, a jumping frog and a hippo caught in a huge yawn. Some pictures use a few big shapes that are easy for small hands, such as the snake and the frog on a lily pad, while others, like the zebra and the giraffe with her baby, are packed with stripes and spots for older kids. The Lion is free to print here; the other 23 are colored in the Gullu app. Some of these animals, like the lion, zebra and giraffe, really live on grassy savannas rather than in the jungle.

What kids practice
Jungle animals give kids lots to talk about while they color. Filling stripes, spots and feathers builds fine motor control and careful hand movement. Children learn animal names and body words like mane, trunk, beak and tail, and they can compare sizes, from the tiny butterfly to the tall giraffe. Each page also comes with a simple true fact, so kids pick up real knowledge about how these animals live.
Ideas for home and the classroom
- Make a classroom jungle wall: each child colors a printed copy of the free Lion page in their own way, then the class adds paper leaves and vines around the lions.
- Play animal charades: each child acts out an animal they have colored while the others guess.
- Sort the animals kids have colored into groups such as stripes, spots and feathers, or animals that climb, swim and fly.
Jungle and Wild Animal Coloring Pages: questions
What are good jungle coloring pages for toddlers?
Start with the pictures that have the fewest, largest shapes: the coiled snake, the frog on a lily pad, the jumping frog and the chameleon. Each one has a handful of big spaces that are easy to fill with chunky crayons. Once your toddler is comfortable, move on to the elephant, crocodile or monkey, which add a few more small details.
Can I print these jungle coloring pages for my classroom?
The Lion page is free to print for personal, home and classroom use, so you can make copies for a whole class, a library session or a party table. The other jungle pages are colored in the Gullu app. Please do not sell the page or include it in products for resale. Printing on plain letter or A4 paper works well for crayons, colored pencils and markers.
Are lions, giraffes and zebras really jungle animals?
Not exactly. Lions, giraffes and zebras mostly live on open grasslands called savannas, while toucans, sloths and many monkeys live in rainforests. Kids often group them all as jungle animals, and that is fine for coloring, but it is a nice chance to talk about the different places wild animals call home and why each one fits its habitat.
