About this coloring page
Two round tomatoes with happy faces grow on a leafy vine, almost ready to pick. The jagged leaves and plump fruit give a medium amount of coloring for growing skills.
Most tomatoes start out green and slowly turn yellow, orange and then red as they ripen. Think of other foods that change color as they get ready to eat, like bananas going from green to yellow. The jagged leaves are good practice for careful pencil work, and the round tomatoes are easy for young kids to fill.
Fun factTomatoes are fruits, because they hold the plant's seeds inside.
