About this coloring page

A cheerful snail rests on a little mound between tufts of grass. Its spiral shell and simple body make this one of the easiest garden pages.

Snails are slow, and that is perfectly fine. Talk with your child about things that are good to do slowly, like coloring carefully, eating dinner or watching clouds drift by. Then color this snail's shell from the outside ring inward, as slowly and neatly as a snail would travel. With so few parts, it suits toddlers too.

Fun fact

Snails have tiny eyes on the tips of their two long upper tentacles.

  • Color ideaColor the spiral shell in rings of brown and gold, and the snail light gray.
  • After coloringLook for a real snail after it rains, without touching it.
